Appointments are recommended and can be scheduled online. Walk-ins may be accepted based on availability. Mobile, employer, after-hours, and certain specialty services may require advance scheduling.

What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID. If your test was requested by an employer, school, court, attorney, agency, or other organization, bring any authorization forms, testing instructions, or reference numbers they provided.

How long does an appointment take?
Appointment times vary by service. Many routine collections and screenings can be completed relatively quickly, while fingerprinting, DNA collections, specialized testing, or other services may require additional time.

How quickly will I receive my results?
Turnaround times depend on the service. Rapid screenings may provide preliminary results quickly, while laboratory-based testing, DNA analysis, background screening, and confirmation testing require additional processing time. Third-party laboratory or agency processing times may vary.

What happens if a rapid drug screen is non-negative?
Rapid screening results are preliminary where applicable. A non-negative, inconclusive, or invalid result may require laboratory confirmation. Additional laboratory or processing fees may apply.

Do you provide DOT drug and alcohol testing?
Yes. The L.A.B. provides DOT-related collection and testing services and coordinates required laboratory, Medical Review Officer (MRO), or other regulated processing through appropriate providers when applicable.

Do you offer non-DOT testing?
Yes. We provide non-DOT testing for individuals, employers, schools, programs, organizations, and other testing needs. Available options include rapid and laboratory-based testing.

Can individuals order their own drug test?
Yes. Individuals may schedule testing for personal needs or when testing is required by an employer, school, program, court, or other organization. Make sure you know whether the requesting organization requires a particular type of test.

Do you provide DNA and paternity testing?
Yes. The L.A.B. provides professional specimen collection and coordination for DNA and paternity testing. Laboratory analysis is performed by a qualified laboratory partner. Legal and non-legal testing options may be available depending on your needs.

What's the difference between legal and non-legal DNA testing?
Legal testing generally requires documented identification and chain-of-custody procedures so results may be suitable for certain official purposes. Non-legal testing is generally intended for personal knowledge. If DNA results will be used for a court, government agency, or other official purpose, tell us before scheduling.

Do you provide fingerprinting and Level 2 background screening?
Yes. The L.A.B. offers Livescan fingerprinting and background-screening services. Requirements and fees can vary depending on the requesting agency and type of screening.

Do you provide employer testing programs?
Yes. We work with employers needing pre-employment, random, reasonable-suspicion, post-accident, and other workplace testing services. Customized and mobile testing arrangements are also available.

Do you offer after-hours or post-accident testing?
After-hours and post-accident collection services may be available by arrangement. Contact The L.A.B. as soon as possible when time-sensitive testing is required.
